It’s true what they say: people are three times more efficient the week before they leave on vacation, than they are on regular work weeks.
I crown myself over-achiever easily and would normally feel privy to exemption from the above, but this week it surely struck home.
What I’m about to say isn’t a new concept and quite frankly, it’s something most entrepreneurs are aware of and strive to overcome: inefficiency in time management.
So many times we find ourselves busier than we know what to do with. But are we really busy or are we “busy” …. with distractions and c-list priorities. When it comes to those make it or break it moments, there’s no room for extra. Yes social media is important, just as the blog posts, client emails and marketing upkeep. But do they need to be put to bed before your A-list is due to party?! No.
Prioritize, Focus and remember done is better than perfect! There will always be tomorrow, next week, heck sometimes it can wait a month! But focus on the now, pray for guidance and wisdom to manage effectively. And remember in him all things are possible.
If all else fails ask yourself, “will this matter in a month, a year, a lifetime?” Stick to what matters most and forget ALL the rest!
